The Men’s Story Project is a bold storytelling and dialogue project that brings dialogue on masculinities into public forums – via men’s own stories.
Fightback is a sexual violence risk reduction education program for women and girls which develops their critical mental, vocal and physical skills to prevent, mitigate and manage the risk of sexual violence. It also engages boys, men, parents, and teachers in the fight against sexual violence to create a more safe and equitable society.
Equimundo
Equimundo works to achieve gender equality and social justice by transforming intergenerational patterns of harm and promoting patterns of care, empathy and accountability among boys and men throughout their lives. It promotes environments that support boys and young men to live out diverse, equitable and healthy masculinities and works to foster healthy, social interactions both online and offline.
The Partnership for Male Youth
PMY was founded in 2013 by a group of physicians and other care providers who saw a need for greater awareness of, and programs to address, the risk factors young males face in a range of physical and mental health areas, broadly defined. PMY is the only US national organization whose sole focus is on the health and wellbeing of males ages 10 to 25, or adolescent and young adult (AYA) males. The Partnership is composed of national and international organizations that have an interest in AYA male issues.
The Everyday Sexism Project
The Everyday Sexism project aims to take a step towards gender equality, by proving wrong those who tell women that they can’t complain because we are equal. It is a place to record stories of sexism faced on a daily basis, by ordinary women, in ordinary places.
Resources
A number of websites that provide excellent resources for working to end violence against women and children recognizing that halting this kind of violence is men’s responsibility, not women’s. While not all men perpetrate violence, all have a role in stopping it. XY Online has a wide range of additional resources for men, from fatherhood to health to pornography, and more.
