Writing

Damn Fool

Notes on masculinity, inheritance, and the long way round.

I write about what men inherit, what we're allowed to put down, and the difference between the version of manhood we were handed and the versions actually available.

New writing roughly twice a month. No easy answers, which I recognize is a poor sales pitch.

From the archive

Some of my writing goes back to 2015 and 2017, before I retired and before Damn Fool Productions existed. Those essays are being republished with their original dates and a short note on how they read now. I've kept them as they were because they still hold, mostly, and because I'd rather show the working than pretend I arrived at this fully formed.
